The Ascari A10 is a super automobile developed by the British company Ascari Cars. The car can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds.

The prototype vehicle started it's life using AP Racing 378 and 355 diameter steel discs front and rear. Ascari wished to evaluate SystemST discs within the same space envelope of the original brake setup, so SystemST engineers designed a front and rear carbon-ceramic brake disc package mounted on steel bells carefully engineered for lightness. The installation achieved a weight saving of 11.2 Kg in total, with 2.6 Kg saved on each front disc and 3 Kg saved on each rear disc.

The SystemST brake system was put through it's paces under heavy duty braking tests on a private airfield by Ascari Test Driver and FIA GT racing driver Ben Collins.

Ascari have since announced that the SystemST braking system will be a standard item on the production vehicle, and the brakes have clocked up hundreds of miles on the prototype vehicle as development of this very unique and exotic vehicle continues.
